Here is a Lost Worlds Horsehide HEAVY duty leather jacket I bought some time ago. Best guess between the wife and I is about 2006. I moved to AZ about 8 years ago and have used it twice since being out here. Winter is approximately 3 weeks. It wore like armour and my first Motorcycle jacket was a pass down and I was the third person to own it. You bought one and it was for a lifetime.

Then I couldnt find a beefy jacket for the life of me when I had outgrown the one I got and bought this one new. It cost a fortune but I think it could maybe stop bullets. (DONT TRY IT) This horse hide jacket physically weighs a ton and is everything I remember about a proper Motorcycle jacket.

Protection, warmth and good looks. If you know Lost Worlds Products you know they are cut almost like suits. In the day the clothes helped shape the man.. So this is not blousy and loose. Its cut to make you look heroic.

I believe it is based on an old Chicago Motorcycle PD jacket. I thought there are enough black Motorcycle jackets in the world so I went with their Russet brown. Dare to be different and all. The jacket is fabricated of Front Quarter Horsehide. Horse hide has a tighter fiber structure than cowhide so it repeals water better and wind is a non factor.

Take a close look at the photos please. There is a piece of leather that goes behind the main zipper...

If you lift the collar and snap alll the snaps you are in a cacoon. It has a large main chest pocket and one zippered side pocket.

There is one interior pocket. All the zippers are functioning fine but the jacket has been in the closet for some time so they are dark. The zippers and pulls are solid brass and can be polished to a high shine if you wanted to do so.

The zippers at the sleeves were modified for me so that they cinch down tighter than their standard offering. The lining looks almost new with no tears that I could see. I had grommets in the sides which loosened and pulled out.

I didnt want to go to bigger grommets and had a shoemaker sew in heavy black leather over the area in front and behind. I made sure to take close up pictures of it. I do leather work and intended to make a cool ass tooled black leather belt to go on this jacket but it never happened. The black and brown is actually quite handsome looking.

There are some normal surface scratches from use but nothing that cant be fixed with a fingertip of leather conditioner and I tried to capture them. I bought the optional genuine Mutton removable collar which I used just once and has spent the rest of its time in a pillow case in the closet.

Goes right up to your ears and completes the seal. I have the posted pictures super large and I would appreciate it if you are interested to please contact me and ask for them.
