Lewis Leathers jacket motorcycle Mens M medium Lightning Aviakit
The Lightning model was introduced in 1958 and was a favorite of British Rockers, Ton Up Boys and Café Racers. In the 1970s members of the Clash and Sex Pistols wore the Lightning model. It has all the features which makes Lewis Leathers such an iconic, stylish, and timeless brand: heavy duty hide, red quilted lining, 4 half waist adjuster belts, 2 side pockets, 2 breast pocket and 1 coin pocket in the left sleeve. Both items were worn often on original Rockers in the 1950s and 1960s. The leather is beautiful, heavy duty with no damage, repairs, or flaws with the exception of two small holes on the inner right lapel where the previous owner fastened a lapel pin. The inner lining of the sleeves do show wear (see photos).
All the zippers, hardware, snaps, and pulls are original and work perfectly. Its smells beautiful with no cigarette or foul odors. The jacket is a size 38, and as most Lewis Leather jackets, it runs a bit small for a tight fit, so it will not balloon out when you are riding on a motorcycle. Here are the detailed measurements.
Shoulder to shoulder seam 19 (48.25 cm). Pit to pit 19 (48.25 cm). Base of collar to bottom of the back of the jacket 25 (63.5 cm).
Outer sleeve, shoulder seam to cuff 24.5 (62.25 cm). Inner sleeve, seam to cuff 18 (45.75 cm). Circumference of waist when jacket is zipped 37 (94 cm).
