If youre looking for a cheap, trashed-out, rode hard and put away wet motorcycle jacket, youll need to look elsewhere. I hate to do it, but I have to liquidate some of my beloved vintage motorcycle jackets to help fund a new hot rod. Best of the bestmany are museum quality.
BOY, YOU GUYS ARE A TOUGH CROWD... ALL THOSE "WATCHERS" AND NOBODY STEPS UP TO THE PLATE? MAYBE "THE DONALD" IS RIGHT... WELL, IT CAN ONLY BE SIZE OR PRICE... DON'T THINK ANYONE WOULD WHINE ABOUT THE CONDITION....I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE SIZE... BUT I CAN (AND HAVE) ADJUSTED THE DOLLARS WITH A FINAL PRICE DROP. IF IT DOESN'T SELL THIS TIME AROUND, IT CAN STAY IN THE COLLECTION. If you know your vintage motorcycle jackets, you will recognize this as an iconic jacket. Comes with its original Buco size 40 belt (the inside Buco lettering is very faint, but its there)the buckle is pristine. The condition of this jacket is exceptional. You would look long and hard to find another in similar condition with its accompanying belt. All of my jackets have been treated with Obenaufs Leather Oil (the best conditioner available for vintage leather jackets, in my opinionexpensive, but nothing else comes close).
Jacket leather is very pliable and soft. All zippers and snaps have been cleaned, and function as they should. All metal zipper pulls are intact, with rawhide/leather pull extensions on several (may be original, not sure).
Distinctive single Buco chrome bars on the shoulder epaulettes. Jacket leather has no color loss anywhere. No odors, other than vintage leather. Zippers are Talons and are all brass. See the photos for condition. Other than some creases and wrinkles, almost no age-related wear is evident. Noticeable flaws: 1 to be expected on a jacket of this vintage, there is some loose and/or missing stitching in certain areas of the quilted interior liner, as well as an approx. Quarter-size light brown discolored area in the middle-back area of the liner; 2 there are a few loose/missing stiches on a small section of the right cuff zip (easy fix by a leather shop if you want it perfect, but does not affect zippers operability); 3 to be expected, a few loose/missing thread stitches at the bottom of the cuff where it attaches to the liner; 4 maybe a tiny odd leather blemish/nick here or there. You will not be disappointed with this jacket. Its an exceptional, collection-worthy specimen. Shoulder seam-to-shoulder seam (across back): 18 1/2. Top of back collar-to-jacket bottom: 27.
