Vintage Aero Leather Jacket Horsehide FQHH Cafe Racer Motorcycle 52 L 3XL 3XLT

Vintage front quarter horsehide cafe racer by Aero. Impossible to find size 52 Long. Tags read: All-weather clothing for the sportsman, aviator, and motorist.

Made in Scotland Made of Genuine Front Quarter Horsehide Finest Quality This garment has been manufactured from horsehide using the orignal 1920's tanning process. Originally a workwear material and as such may experience color loss from time to time.

Brass snap on original collar reads: Authentic Aero Leather. Black, heavy, front quarter horsehide leather. This jacket weighs 8 pounds. 2 exterior, zip chest pockets.

2 exterior, zip hand pockets. Zip sleeves with original, brass Talon zippers (work great). Original, heavy duty, brass Aero main zipper (works great). Original, ball and chain, brass YKK pocket zippers (work great). Red, cowhide leather zipper pull extenders (replacements).

I have owned this jacket since 2006. This jacket was a custom order and has extra long sleeves and torso.

Jacket looks awesome and smells good non-smoker. Just needs a new rider.

The horsehide leather is very good, glossy, and supple with some honest wear, rubbing, and a few scratches. It has been treated with Obenauf's leather conditioner. It took forever to break-in and has been well loved and never wrecked.

Cotton lining is very good with minor wear to cuffs. All zippers are solid brass and work great.

Pockets are lined with original, white cotton fabric and have no holes. The original horsehide snap collar is about 18 inches in circumference and was very uncomfortable to me. I had it replaced with a nylon collar and restitched by hand using the original holes in the leather.

The new collar is much easier on the neck and still helps with the wind. The original collar could be easily put back if you prefer.
