Each item had inventory control sheets affixed to light pink cotton garment bags and a label sewn or glued in. Bag is gone and sewn in label for this Jacket disintegrated inside collar long ago.
Tags were Production dated with talent fitment assignment when garments were checked in and out. This jacket was checked out by Ziv Productions and United Artists.
From memory: First check in/out was Ziv 1955-ish, Last check in/out was UA 1968-ish with 6 or 7 in between. The only date with name I recognized and remember on that list is. 1959 L Nimoy and some inner-office code I do not remember. About 12-13 years ago I googled "1959 L Nimoy leather jacket". There was 1 picture of him wearing it then, but there are lots now.
Hind sight is 20/20 and if I knew it would be worth it, I would have preserved the proof. Correct epaulets & stars, collar label, Snaps, NYNCO sleeve and CONMATIC front zippers. Book value without history is going up fast.
Depending on condition of the leather and zippers. This one is excellent at 62 years old. I don't expect any bonus for the history. I was a stupid kid with my friends looking for clothes for our Rock Band when we went to that sale.We wore the daylights out of this stuff back then, thanks for the memories.
